My Gear — Featuring the Sony A7III

Every photographer has a setup that defines them. For me, the Sony A7III sits at the heart of everything I create—from portrait shoots to cinematic commercials, from late-night city shots to astrophotography. This blog breaks down my gear, why I chose it, and how I use each piece in real-world projects.

My Main Camera: Sony A7III. The A7III is the perfect hybrid camera—sharp 24 MP stills, beautiful 4K video, excellent dynamic range, and reliable autofocus even in low light. I use it for restaurant commercials, long-exposure outdoor photography, client portraits, and cinematic social media content. It stands out for its dual SD card slots and great battery life, handling both photo and video without compromise.

Supporting Gear: Sony 70–200mm f/4 G (for compression shots and portraits), Sony 16–35mm (for landscapes and interiors), and a versatile Sigma 24–70mm f/2.8. I also use a GoPro Hero 12 for POV and action shots. For lighting, I rely on portable LED panels and a softbox. Stabilization is key, so a tripod, gimbal, and car suction mount are always with me.

This setup gives me versatility, cinematic quality, and reliability—whether I’m shooting in a dim restaurant corner or on a rocky cliff in Tobermory.
